Hi everybody!
I'm so excited about this post! Yesterday my awesome friend Gigi and I went to a MAC event in Hasselt. It was so much fun. It was by email invite only (how special did we feel) First thing I noticed is that although the store is not a PRO store, it was the biggest store from Belgium. At least there is a MAC store where you can move around without bumping in to everyone there.
First let me say this: the guys and girls that work in the MAC Hasselt store are truly amazing! Friendly, helpful, funny and truly just nice people. They really made yesterday's event a really fun event to go to :-) It all started with a glass of bubbly (or juice)

I was lucky enough to have Miguel all to myself for 30 minutes. Miguel is a MAC artists that you can find at larger, worldwide events (hello Fashionweek) He was going to put the focus on my eyes and lips. I asked for an everyday lipcolor but with that little extra umpfh. I also opted for fake eyelashes (well, duh!) He started with my eyes. I already had a base on it for the day: a light eyeshadow, cream with some glitters and my black eyeliner and mascara (which he said was a good base, yay)
He took 4 different colors to work with. For my eyelid he used grey colors with a hint of green, also Forgery to highlight and on my lowerlashes he used a color with a hint of gold and brown.

During this time he explained in detail what he was doing, which brush he was using and answering all my (silly) questions. For example: Q: 'How do you avoid having some of the eyeshadow drop on the face when putting it on? It's annoying when the face is already made up with foundation and powder and you have to start all over again?' A: 'Just start with the eyes. It's oldschool to start with the face first.' Alrighty then!
After my eyeshadow he put on my lashes. I think he went for the 2lashes. I did not want them to be too long and something I could use for everyday if I wanted to.
Here is the finished result from the eyes: the quality is iPhone quality!

Then come the lips! First thing he said was that my lips are so dry. They are, they really are. I don't know why. I've always had this problem. So the first thing he put on was the Lip Conditioner. This conditioner is based on almondoil, shea butter and avocado extract. Very nice I must say. He let the conditioner do its thing for a while, after that he put on the Lip Primer and then he used the lip pencil Spice (pink cinnamonstick). Because 1 side of my lip is a bit higher than the other, he colored the outer part of my lip a little bit extra to give it the feel like I have perfectly shaped lips. He filled in the lips with the liner as well. After this, he put some of the lipstick on, but only in the middle to give it a sort of ombre effect, which according to him, is back in. He topped it all off with a little bit of gloss. Because no girl can ever go outside without some gloss on her lips.
After the 30 min make up session it was time for nails! I honestly did not know that MAC had nailpolish. They said that the nailpolish had been out of the store for a while because they were perfecting the ingredients. And now they are back and better than ever! It's a super fast drying polish. How great is that. At first I was a bit sceptic: they do you nails, but how do you take your shopping bags home if you have to wait 20 min for it to dry?
It took about a minute to dry. Truly amazing.
I got the Midnight Sky color and added some sparkle on my ring finger Silver Dew. If this polish stays on longer than 2 days, I'm going to buy me some.

All in all I must say this event was a smash hit! Lovely people, great tips, good pampering and we looked like a million bucks!
